Forged from Pop’s Procut and 1084, this billet is a slice of the Damascus pattern featured in my latest video. There’s enough material here to make an integral bolster chef’s knife in just about any profile. The welds are solid, it’s ready to work with, and it comes with one side coffee-etched and the other straight off the bandsaw.
There are a few small MIG welds on the sides of the billet—nothing major, but make sure to grind them out when forging or when you’re profiling!
Approximate billet dimensions are 3.8” x 0.52” x 2”, comes out to just over 4 cubic inches
